BBO allows you to define all of members of our site as either your friends, your enemies, or as neutrals (the default). The Manage Friends and Enemies dialog box is intended to make it easier for you to manage your relationships with other BBO members. Effective use of these facilities will help to increase your enjoyment of our site.

When you log in to BBO a list of your friends who are also logged in will be displayed (and kept up to date) in the Friends tab of Who's Online in the right part of your screen. Also, you will be notified via an automated message in the chat area when one of your friends has logged in. These features will make it easier for you to find, identify, greet, and play with your favorite people on BBO.

If you have a bad experience with a particular BBO member and would like to avoid that person in the future, mark him or her as an enemies. Your enemies will not be able to send you chat, invitations to play, or BBO mail.

The Manage Friends and Enemies dialog lists all of your friends and enemies regardless of whether or not they are logged in. You can add items to the list by entering a BBO user ID in the blank space below the appropriate list and then clicking the Add button to the right of that space.

You can remove a name from your friends or enemies lists by clicking the Delete button to the right of the name in question.

It is also possible to define any BBO member as either a friend, an enemy, or a neutral through the Profile Popup of the person in question. You can click on any user's name (or use the Find Member button at the bottom of the Who's Online area) to display a Profile Popup for a given BBO member.
